Club Notes September 26th
The result we were all hoping for did not materialise at Edendork on Sunday as we were painfully knocked out of the championship by Clonoe after extra time. Attention must now turn to the league play-offs which will be coming up in the near future.
The U13 boys play Dromore at home on Thursday evening at 8pm and at home to Errigal Ciaran on Sunday at 12.30.The new Club website is close to completion. A main feature of the new website is an extensive picture and document gallery of the club from the 1930’s to the present. Our £1 weekly lotto continues to grow. Thanks to all those who are making the extra effort. However still more dedicated members, supporters and players are needed if we want to develop this to its full potential. If you feel you could sell the lotto get in touch with a committee member or collect some lotto envelopes at the pitch from Jimmy.
Requests forms for Gaeltacht scholarship can be collected at the clubrooms and submitted before end of September. An Irish dancing class will be taking place in the following months on Tuesday nights upstairs in the clubrooms at 8.30pm.
An Irish class will take place in St Colmkilles Primary School starting 26th September from 8.00 to 9.30 pm. All levels are welcome. For further information ring 82256220. Scor na nOg will be starting shortly. Anyone interested in representing Club Colmcille please contact Lawrence Kelly.
Congratulations to U16 on becoming County Champions on Friday night. Thank to all the girls on the panel and their management team of Eilish, Seamie and Ciara. Thanks also to the parents for their continued support and commitment throughout the year.
The senior girls reached the semi-final of the All Ireland 7's on Saturday past. This concludes their season. Thanks to all the girls and management for their efforts in 2011. Good luck to U12 girls as they take part in Ulster U12 Blitz on Saturday in Galbally. Details to be given out at traiining this week. The U13’s are out this week as well.
