Club Notes Sept 5th
An Chárraig Mhór Notes
The seniors completed the league campaign with a comfortable win over Moy to remain top of the division with the ‘top four’ playoffs to come. Moving in fast on the radar however is the more important business of the championship quarter-final meeting with Clonoe which is fixed for Omagh on Friday Sept 16th.
The reserves could not mimic their senior counterparts and lost out to Errigal Ciaran by the narrowest of margins at a windswept Dunmoyle on Monday night past. The juniors completed their season on Friday night and draw to a close another year of progress. Thanks to Seamus and Ryan Mc Callan for their endurance and commitment in circumstances which proved most trying at times.
The U-16’s year also drew to a close within the space of a week with a heart breaking defeat to Naomh Mhuire in the championship and a loss to Omagh in the league. This group of players have made a massive improvement this year thanks to the guidance and encouragement of the management team of Conor Mc Aleer, Eamon Loughran and Fergal Gormley. Thanks to them and to the players for their dedication and commitment.
The U13 boys won their first match when they played Cappagh on Saturday past. Round 2 has been moved to Monday evening at 6.30pm at home to Dromore. Training continues on Wednesday evening at 7pm. The U-10’s completed very successfully in their Blitz in Dromore on Saturday.
Our £1 weekly lotto continues to grow but still more dedicated members and supporters are needed if we want to develop this to its full potential. If you feel you could sell the lotto get in touch with a committee member or collect some lotto envelopes at the pitch from Jimmy.
Requests forms for Gaeltacht scholarships can be completed at the clubrooms before end of September.
Monthly committee meeting for September takes place on Monday evening at 8.30pm. Lotto: 14, 15, 20, 22. 5 winners with 3 numbers: Next weeks jackpot £5550.
Club notes are available in the Hogan Stand website mid-day on Tuesdays - www.hoganstand.com. Select Counties on the menu bar at the top, then Tyrone and club notes will appear somewhere on the 'Latest Headlines'
