Club Notes May 7th 2012
The seniors came out on top against Edendork at the weekend to remain unbeaten in the league.
The reserves secured the points with a last quarter rally after it looked like Edendork could push ahead. Next weekend its Kildress away at 2.15 and 3.45.
The minors travelled to Clonoe last week for the championship and unfortunately could not do enough to progress despite some very solid performances. It’s back to league action for them on Wed night against Dromore at home.
The U16 boys were held to a draw by Errigal Ciaran on Saturday in what was a hugely entertaining game with some great patches of play. Next up for them is Dromore away on Saturday at 4pm.
The U-14’s kick off their league with an away game against Omagh on Tuesday, May 8th at 7.15 pm and then it’s Trillick away next Monday, 14th May, at 7.30. Training for U12 boys continues on Mondays and Thursdays in Magilligan at 7pm.
The Thursday night youth coaching continues this week for under 8’s and under 10’s from 7 -8pm at Pairc Colmcille. U-10’s have a blitz this Saturday in Galbally. Arrangements at training.
The outdoor phase of FUN-damentals is underway for parents and children at 7pm on Thursday nights at Pairc Colmcille. It is important that a parent attends with each child.
Our next fundraiser, in association with the handball club, is the innovative concept of ‘Red and Black’.
The monthly committee meeting was postponed due the bank holiday and will now take place on Monday 14th May at 8.30 instead.

An Charraig Mhór Ladies
The Senior ladies play Aodh Ruadh in the league on Friday night at 7pm away. Congratulations to the minors who gave a great team performance to overcome Glenelly in the semi-final of the championship. They fought hard to win their place in the final against Cappagh on June 2nd. Great praise must go to the team and their mentors for their never-say-die attitude.
Training continues for U14 girls as advised and their Clann na nGael match is fixed for Monday evening 14th May at 6.45 at Pairc Colmcille. On Wednesday 16th May they travel to St Endas for round 6 of the league with a 7pm kick-off.
Training for U12 girls continues on Wednesday evening and on Saturday 12th they play Fr Rocks at home with a 12.30pm kick-off.
Coaching for U8 and U10 girls continues on Thursday evening at Pairc Colmcille from 7-8pm. To ensure safety parents/guardians are to collect their child at the gate. Children will not be allowed across the car park.
