Club Notes March 26th 2012

The senior club season has been placed on hold until further notice. 

Minor training continues and they play Errigal Ciaran in their first league game this Wednesday. The U16 boys had a good win against Dromore on Saturday at home and continue to train as advised. Next up for them is Omagh away on Saturday at 4pm. Training for U14 boys continues on Thursday evening at 7pm at Pairc Colmcille.

The Feile takes place 14th April. U 8 Go Games start on Sat 21st April and the U10’s on the 14th April.

FUN-damentals for P1 and P2 children continues on Tues nights in the ‘Dean’ for 3 more weeks of coaching from 7 to 8pm. A parent must accompany each child.

‘Last Man Standing’ has been launched. Entry fee is £5 and each participant selects a winner for each round of the ACL Division1 without picking the same team twice. Prize is £200. Underage players will be out and about selling so please get involved and help raise funds for the club.

ACTIV8 is going strong in to the home straight. The Active 8 ‘Olympics’ took place on Sunday at the pitch and created a great buzz of excitement with the Olympic spirit well and truly alive.   Watch website and face book for updates. The closing night of celebration for Active8 is to be Easter Monday night – more details later.

Summer Camp will be on the week beginning July 9th.

The club is appealing to all members to support a Fun walk/run at An Creggan Visitors Centre on Easter Monday at 10.30 in aid of The Comfort Fund at Oak B, Tyrone and Fermanagh Hospital,  Alzheimer’s and Dementia Assessment Unit. Admission is £5 per person or £10 per family.

Membership for 2012 has now closed. Monthly committee meeting on Monday evening at 8.30pm.

An Charraig Mhór Ladies

The senior Ladies training continues as advised for the beginning of the ‘non-county’ senior league (without county players) starting on 31st March, with fixtures yet to be confirmed, and senior league starting on 7th April ay home to Glenelly with a 6pm throw in. Well done to our Minor girls as they recorded their first win in the league against Fintona on Monday evening.  They play Donaghmore at home on Thursday evening at 6.30pm and are home to Sperrin Og next Thursday 5th April.Good luck to our U14 girls who take part in the Feile on Saturday morning in Greencastle.  Girls to be at pitch for 9.30am.  On Monday evening they travel to Ardboe for the first round of the league.
