Club Notes June 11th 2012
The senior’s and reserves lost their first games of the season to Coalisland last Wed night at home. Next up its Killyclogher away on Saturday night with starting times of 6pm (res) and 7.30 (sen).
We face historic rivals Trillick in the 2012 Championship with a date and venue TBC.
The minors play Trillick away in their last game of the season on Friday night at 7.30.
The U 14’s play Owen Roes in the league on Wednesday night at 7.30 at home and Errigal Ciaran away on Saturday at 4pm. Training for U12 boys continues on Mondays and Thursdays in Magilligan at 7pm. They had two great games with Coalisland on Monday night with a lot of skill and dedication on show.
The Thursday night youth coaching continues this week for under 8’s and under 10’s from 7 -8pm at Pairc Colmcille.
Club members are currently selling the ‘Red or Black’ tickets in the parish along with members of the handball club. Please support both clubs in this vital fundraising venture. Over the next few weeks the club will be proceeding with the vetting procedure in line with the GAA Child Protection Policy. This applies to all coaches, committee and regular volunteers including grounds-men and members that regularly frequent the clubrooms and who have not already completed the Access NI vetting procedure. Those who did not collect and complete forms need to do so asap. We want to assure everyone concerned that this process will be treated with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.
The club are looking forward to the reopening of the main pitch and a date of August 12th has been earmarked.

The senior defeated Omagh in the league on Tuesday night at Healy Park to maintain their unbeaten run. The championship is presently on hold pending the outcome of an appeal by Cill Iseal to replay the quarterfinal.
Training has started for U16 girls in the run up to their league which is due to start on 14th June - any queries contact Eleanor or Paula.
Congratulations and well done to our U14 girls and their coaches who to progressed to Championship final later in the month when they take on Mna na Deirge. The girls continue to train in preparation with the final fixed for weekend beginning Friday 22nd June.
Training for U8s and U10s continues on Thursday evening 7-8pm at Pairc Colmcille.To ensure safety parents/guardians are to collect their child at the gate. Children will not be allowed across the car park.
The next major fundraiser, in association with the handball club, is the innovative concept of ‘Red and Black’. Anyone interested in helping with ticket sales please get in touch with a committee member.
