Club Notes July 2nd 2012
Trillick league game now takes place on Saturday evening
The reserves/seniors are fixed to play Trillick at home on Saturday evening 7th July - Seniors at 6pm and Reserve match at 4:30pm.
The U16’s fell to Coalisland in the championship last Sunday and will be very disappointed given the effort and commitment they have shown this year. Their attention must turn to the league were they take on Cappagh on Wednesday night at 7.30.
Training for U12 boys continues on Mondays and Thursdays in Magilligan at 7pm. They travel to Dungannon on Friday evening for 7pm kick-off.
The Thursday night youth coaching for boys and girls continues this week for under 8’s and under 10’s from 7 -8pm at Pairc Colmcille. Please note that this will be last night until Thursday 26th July.
U10 boys have a blitz at the weekend and will be given details at coaching on Thursday evening.
Summer camp is at Pairc Colmcille from 9th to 12th July. Late registration can still take place through the County Board office in Omagh.
Club members are currently selling the ‘Red or Black’ tickets in the parish along with members of the handball club. The response so far has been very positive. Please support both clubs in this vital fundraising venture.
Thanks to all who supported the club quiz last Wednesday night last.
The club are progressing with the vetting procedure in line with the GAA Child Protection Policy. This applies to all coaches, committee and regular volunteers including grounds-men and members that regularly frequent the clubrooms and who have not already completed the Access NI vetting procedure. Those who did not collect and complete forms need to do so asap. We want to assure everyone concerned that this process will be treated with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.
The club would like to pay our deepest respect to the families of the following who passed away recently, Malachy McAleer, Margaret McGonnell, Bernard Furey.
The club are looking forward to the reopening of the main pitch and a date of August 12th has been earmarked.

The senior ladies had a win over Trilick in the ‘non-county’ league last Friday. They are away to St Macartans on Sunday evening at 6pm in Augher in the league.
U16 girls lost out to a strong Galbally side this week, their next match is after the holiday period when they travel to Donaghmore on Tuesday 31st July.
Training continues as advised.U12 girls take part in knockout blitz on Wednesday 4th July in Cill Iseal. Training for U8 and U10 boys and girls continues on Thursday evening 7-8pm at Pairc Colmcille. Please note that this will be last night until Thursday 26th July. To ensure safety parents/guardians are to collect their child at the gate. Children will not be allowed across the car park.
The next major fundraiser, in association with the handball club, is the innovative concept of ‘Red and Black’. Anyone interested in helping with ticket sales please get in touch with a committee member.
