Club Notes July 23rd 2012

The seniors/reserves play Donaghmore at home on Saturday at 4.30 and 6.15.

The U14’s play in the championship this Friday night away to Coalisland at 7.30.

The Thursday night youth coaching resumes this Thursday, 26th July, but due to the adverse weather has been switched to Mc Gilligan at the usual time of 7-8pm. Please note there will be no girls coaching this week due to the clash with the ladies senior championship.

Club members are currently selling the ‘Red or Black’ tickets in the parish along with members of the handball club. The response so far has been very positive. Please support both clubs in this vital fundraising venture.

Anyone who currently does not have a field sign but would like to advertise their business at a cost of £150 for the year could get in touch with Etaoine O’Kane(07704913303) or Eleanor Fox (0792076532). It is an opportune time with the reopening of the main pitch to get your sign in place.

The club are progressing with the vetting procedure in line with the GAA Child Protection Policy. This applies to all coaches, committee and regular volunteers including grounds-men and members that regularly frequent the clubrooms and who have not already completed the Access NI vetting procedure. Those who did not collect and complete forms need to do so asap. We want to assure everyone concerned that this process will be treated with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.

The club would like to pay its deepest respects to the families of the following who passed away recently. Paudi Fitzsimons, Malachy Mc Aleer, Margaret Mc Gonnell, Bernard Furey, Dessie Campbell, Michael Mc Menamin, Annie Potter, Pat Mc Caffery.

Lotto has been restarted with the jackpot of £7000 being won by Brian Gormley – see gallery for presentation picture. This weeks numbers are 8,10,22,23,25. 7 winners of £15. New jackpot £500.

An Charraig Mhór Ladies

The senior ladies have to do it all again with the replaying of the championship quarter-final with Cil Iseal which is now fixed for Dunmoyle on Thursday night (26th July) at 7.15. Good luck to the girls. Lets get out in numbers and support them.There will be no girls coaching this week due to the clash with the ladies senior championship. U16 girls away to Donaghmore on Tuesday evening 31st July. Training as advised.Well done to our U12 girls who have progressed to the final stages of the knockout blitz.  Details to follow from fixtures. Good luck to Jessica Munroe and Niamh Mc Elduff who play in the Ulster U16 final for Tyrone this Saturday.
