Club Notes 8th November 2011

The wait is over for our seniors who now meet Dromore in the league final this Sunday at 2.30 in Dunmoyle.

Good luck to the senior squad and the management. The 50th celebration of the 1961 Senior Championship will take place in the Old Charm Inn on 19th November. The initial part of the night, beginning at 7.30, will be for the team members/representative of a team member and a partner but everyone else is welcome after the meal (8.45) to share in this night of celebration which will include a presentation to re-live the memories of the ’61 victory. The new club website will also be launched on that night after which it will be available on the world wide web for everyone to view. A large part of the new website includes a ‘Gallery’ which has developed into an archive of pictures and documents relating to the club from 1932 to the present. Well done to all those who took part in Scor na nOg in Dun Uladh last Saturday night. We are hosting the next round of Scor in the Dean Maguirc College on Sunday 20th.

The AGM will take place on 27th November at 2.30 in the clubrooms. Members can collect nomination/motion forms in the clubrooms no later than 9pm on the 18th of November. Forms can be returned to the clubrooms and in the event of them being closed, forms can be left in the post box at the main entrance. Those members wishing to receive a form by post can contact Pat Nugent 80761127or Paula Cuddy 80761939 asap.

The club are running a ‘Come Dine With Me’ fundraiser with the intention being that members/supporters or anyone involved with the club will host a meal in their homes between with contributions to the host donated to the club. It will run from 25th Nov to 10th Dec Anyone who would like to host one of these nights please get in touch with Etaoine O’Kane 07704913303 or Eilish Gormley 07769266002. All hosts will go into a draw with the prize being a 200 euro voucher for Mc Nean house leading restaurant of chef Neven Maguire in Blacklion.

The club would like to pass on its deepest sympathy to the families of the following who passed away recently. Brigid Fox, Liam McAnespie, Michael McElduff, Pat O'Neill and Margaret Savage.
