Under 16 championship quarterfinal |

The under 16 girls defeated Aodh Ruadh on Saturday evening. It was a low scoring affair, 2-02 to 1-03, in which Carmen where very much the dominant team.
Aimee Fox scored Carmen’s first point and Eilish Slane followed with a goal to leave them ahead 1-1 to 1-0 at half time. Ursula McKernan drove forward from defence while Meadhbha Kerr worked tirelessly around the middle of the park but the Aodh Ruadh defence was hard to penetrate.
The second half was much the same as the first with Carrickmore dominating in defence and midfield. Ursula Magee and Alanagh Treanor tackled hard to deny the Aodh Ruadh forwards and it took 20 minutes before the Dungannon outfit scored. A point from Shauna Ward and a goal from Meadhbha Kerr ensured victory and progression to the semi finals.
