All County League
An Charraig Mhór 0 -13 Killyclogher 0 - 05

Carmen edged closer to securing a "Top Four" slot when they took both points from this keenly contested refixed league encounter at a sodden Pairc Colmcille. Carmen started brightly with points in the first five minutes from Ronan McNally, Barry Daly(free) and Brendan Martin. Ciaran Carland converted a free after 8 minutes and Carmen`s goal had to survive a couple of forays in the next ten minutes as the visitors incresaed the tempo.

Brian Gormley hits Carmens 4th in a breakaway after 20 minutes and another Barry Daly free put Carmen four ahead two minutes later. Mark Donnelly made it a five point margin when the tenacious Brendan Martin broke up a Killyclogher clearance. The last score of the half however fell to St Mary`s - a fine effort by Niall McFadden.

Another Ciaran Carland free on the resumption brought the margin back to three, but that merely signalled a period of Carmen dominance. Barry Daly and Brian Gormley fired over in quick succession; and then Ronan McNally hit the first of three excellent second half points when he foung himself on the end of a great diagonal ball from wing back Ciaran McAleer. Mark Donnelly curled one over on the three-quarter mark and moments later McNally again struck from a tight angle.

James Nugent and McNally concluded the Carmen tally in the 48th and 51st minute, but Killyclogher`s James Carlin finished his sides effort in style with two quality long range points from either sideline.
