Pride of place this week goes to the senior ladies who clinched an Ulster Final place with a storming come from behind win over Cavan’s Knockbride at Pairc Colmcille on Sunday. Second half goals by Lynette Hughes, Elaine Coyle and Gemma Begley sealed a nine point win; an outcome that looked unlikely with ten minutes to play.
At half time on Sunday we had the added treat of an exhibition by the Under 10 girls. Clearly our seniors were inspired by the skill and commitment of these young players and turned a half time deficit to a clear victory
Next Sunday we meet last year’s Ulster Champions Donaghmoyne in the Ulster Club Final on Sunday at Fintona at 2:30. Donaghmoyne came within a crossbar width of winning the All Ireland final last year, so once again we face a daunting task. However, with a full show from our great support we can regain the Ulster Crown. This will be a great game, it’s close to home so don’t miss it!
Club supporters are encouraged to support one of our own Lynette Hughes and the charity, “Another Pair of Hands”. They have organized a fundraiser in Ardboe Hall for Thursday 2nd November. The show is called Laughs and Legends and has a Showbands theme. Please support this worthy cause in any way you can.
