All County League
An Charraig Mhór 3-14 Omagh 0-06

Earlier in the season this Omagh side surprised Carmen at Healy Park snatching a late win and many among the small crowd at Pairc Colmcille this afternoon expected another close run affair as both sides seek a top four league position. It was not to be however, and Carmen cruised to their most comprehensive win of the season.

Carmen fielded with seven changes from the County Final replay lineout and set to work from the off. Conor McAleer found the net within 2 minutes and by the quarter hour the game was all but over as Carmen reeled off seven unanswered points from play. On target were Barry Daly(3), James Nugent(2), Kevin McCartan and Mark Donnelly. Donnelly`s 11th minute was goalbound but was parried over by net minder Declan McGirr.

Carmen then took a breather and Omagh showed a glimmer of hope with four unanwered points in the second quarter. Cathal McCarron got his side off the mark in the 18th minute and this was followed by two Justin McMahon points - the second was a particularly fine effort from well outside the "45". Joe McMahon hit Omagh`s fourth on the stroke of half time to leave the score 1-07 to 0-04.

Carmen got back to business within fiveminutes of the resumption. Mark Donnelly started the ball rolling with a 36th minute point and substitute Kevin McNally with his first touch converted a free in the 38th minute. McNally again hit the target from play and brother Ronan got in on the act with a long range free. Kevin again pointed - this time with a rare right footed effort and Carmen were coasting once again with just 15 minutes left.

Midfielder Paddy Doherty pointed in the 47th minute but all prospect of an Omagh resurgence was extinguished when James Nugent carried the ball at the Omagh defence and found Kevin McNally who goaled from close quarters. It was now a matter of how much the margin would be. Ronan McNally pointed before Conor McAleer - following up on a Kevin McNally effort that came back high off the upright - hit Carmen`s third goal. Neil McElduff pointed to round off the Carmen tally and Omagh`s meagre contribution was rounded off by a Jason McAnulla point on full time.
