The present An Charraig Mhór ladies team officially came into existence in 1992, having previously competed in various tournament competitions.

In the club's inaugural year, the Tyrone Senior League and Championship "double" was claimed, before going on to lift the Ulster Club title the same year, a feat no other club in Tyrone has been able to realise.

The ladies have built on this initial success to emulate their male counterparts in becoming the premier club in the county.

The club lead the county roll of honour having won three Ulster Club Championships and ten s County senior championships and six senior league titles . Not to be outdone, the minor ladies also lead the other clubs in the county having won six minor Championships and five minor league titles.
